The foundation of Sapt Sadhana is that when we work towards internal cleansing, our intentions become cleaner and any action that comes from an uplifted state of mind automatically becomes a good deed.
What is Sadhana?
The word ‘Sadhana’ refers to spiritual efforts. When is an effort true and well made?
-
When it actually guides us towards one’s true home.
-
Instigates one to indulge in actions that frees them from the bondage of the cycle of life and death.
-
Helps one feel a sense of freedom and lightness.
Human Life is considered to have been lived to the fullest only if the development has been all-round. Through its vertical of Sapt Sadhana, Internal insight intends to establish and pave the path for a way of life that would facilitate each one of us in helping ourselves and those all around us physically, mentally and spiritually.
At every stage of our lives we are constantly making efforts, some of which are voluntarily and consciously made while others are involuntary efforts made without a choice. The latter category of efforts are those which are laid down by the society we are born in and are conditioned within us.
Through Sapt Sadhana, Internal Insight intends to throw light on some of the crucial manifested and unmanifested ways of life. Let us understand deeper!

Sadhanas
The Seven Conscious Sadhanas
(Sankskars Sadhana)

of Wisdom or Gyaan
The Subtle or Sukshm Sadhanas of crossing the 7 layers of the mind
Seven Sadhanas
of Action
The Seven Unconscious Sadhanas
The conditioned, uncontrollable and unconsciously made efforts at the macro level are as follows:
1. Taking birth
2. Journey of childhood
3. Journey of youth
4. Journey of education and career
5. Journey through marriage, raising children and maintaining a family
6. Journey through physical sickness and challenges
7. Retirement and journey of old age
The quality of these unconsciously done sadhanas depends on consciously done sadhanas at the physical, mental and spiritual levels. Enhancing this quality is the key to a fulfilled life that can help one feel complete. One of the best ways to help oneself is to live their life in such a way that they feel it has been purposeful.
The Seven Conscious Sadhanas
(Sanskars Sadhana)
The consciously made efforts by one are typically those adopted through guidance around them, along with some that are earned forward from one’s previous births.
MAINTAIN HARMONIOUS RELATIONSHIPS
To behave cordially and be good to people with whom one is karmically connected. This is typically family members. It is important to be sensitive to their feelings and requirements.
BE DRAWN TOWARDS WISDOM
To create an interest towards Wisdom and to be attracted towards being in the company of those who have walked the spiritual path or are in the journey.
CARE FOR EVERYONE
To have a good heart even towards people one does not know personally or interact with on a daily basis.

BE INDEPENDENT
To not be dependent on others materialistically or even emotionally. This is to be understood in the right way.

LOVE AND SHARE
To always come from the space of giving, sharing and loving.

FORGE AHEAD
Never shy away from hard work. There are no shortcuts. Deep intense learning is the ONLY receipt for sustainable success.
DO THE RIGHT ACTION
One must be alert before indulging in any action. The action must be for one’s own good, must be harmless to any one else, must not be the cause
of bondage and must not leave one with a feeling of regret and guilt

With the above Sanskaars, one would automatically find themselves being drawn to their higher purpose which is wisdom, internal awakening and truthfulness.
The Seven Sadhanas of Wisdom or Gyaan
(Sanskars Sadhana)
1. BE IN HOLY COMPANY
Must be available for a short disciplined duration of time every single day meticulously to be in the company of one’s spiritual Master or Guru and the wisdom imparted.
2. DEFINE YOUR PURPOSE
It is divine to be fed up with the illusory world or Maya. To rise above it in a way that one is now able to control Maya and not the other way around should be one’s purpose.
3. ELICIT FAITH
One must allow the goddess of unconditional faith to be born within them.
4. WALK TOWARDS PURPOSE
While living and breathing in this world, one needs to be in the company of spiritual wisdom. It is only through this wisdom that one can achieve the ultimate bliss.
5. PRACTICE REGULARLY
It is crucial that one’s mind goes through a regular cleansing in such a way that they are able to rid themselves of all their negative tendencies.
6. BE AWARE
It is crucial that one’s mind goes through a regular cleansing in such a way that they are able to rid themselves of all their negative tendencies.
7. FREE YOURSELF
One must stay soaked in Guru’s love with the strength of which from within, they will one day realise that this world is a mere illusion. This realisation will help the mental tendencies fade away, leaving one rejoicing in the sense of the Truth. There is no requirement
to leave anything or give up leaving anything. Awakening is the only effort required.
The knowledge of the Self is one’s birthright. The realisation of God’s existence lies in the realisation of oneself. To be able to understand this in the true sense and experience it, one would need to go through the seven layers of the mind. One needs to cross these seven layers of the mind to reach the depths where the treasure of realisation lies.
The Subtle or the Sukshm Sadhanas of crossing the 7 Layers of the Mind
01
The layer of the externally influenced mind gradually finds itself getting attracted to holy company and Wisdom.
02
Internally starts to relate to wisdom and begins to maintain regularity.
03
Begins to understand deeply and thereby starts to enjoy every minute spent in holy company and in solitude.
04
Application of wisdom begins especially during oppositions. Divine intelligent faith begins to develop and multiply manyfolds.
05
Internal introspection in the right sense begins. Negative tendencies begin to drop.
06
The layer of old Sanskaars drop and are replaced by new healthy ones. Love begins to flow.
07
The layer of stuck dos and don't disappear, fluidity of acceptance flows in, rigidity drops and deep intense realisation happens. All layers at this stage have been burnt. While the physical body being the same, the mind and its subtleties are completely new, bringing in a sense of completeness, lightness and fullness.
Seven Sadhanas of Action
CHECK YOURSELF
Before indulging in a seemingly good action, it is important to look within to check if there is a feeling of doership. If there is, it needs to be corrected and replaced with a sense of gratitude of being able to get an opportunity to serve. It is HE who gives or takes. We are mere instruments in HIS divine hands.
DO YOUR RESEARCH
It is important to be wise and vigilant before indulging in charity. Where and to whom is the charity going? Are they well deserving? If not, the one indulging in charity will be caught in bondage of Karma again.
FOR YOUR COMMUNITY
There are phases to doing good actions. It is important to start with doing good in a way that directly impacts individuals such as feeding the poor, clothing the needy, supplying medicines for the old who have been neglected etc.
FOR YOUR CITY
The next phase of actions would be those that are instrumental in the development of an entire city for the improvement of the city and its residents.
FOR YOUR COUNTRY
The third phase would comprise of actions that would bring development to an entire country in a qualitative manner
FOR YOUR PLANET
The final phase would be to bring about initiatives towards saving the environment.
FOR YOURSELF
While having indulged in these selfless acts, one’s constant focus must lie on the upliftment of their mind, spiritual awakening and perfectly performing one’s required and prescribed regular chores.
